    Family Assistance provides cash assistance to needy families that include a minor child living with a parent or parents.

These programs are made available to ensure that no one is forced to go without the basic essentials of food, clothing, shelter, medical care and necessary life sustaining services because of a lack of resources.

Consumer Credit Counseling Service
For over 50 years, Consumer Credit Counseling Service (CCCS) has helped thousands of people learn to manage money, balance their budgets and get out of debt through comprehensive personal finance education and credit counseling.

The Ohio Benefit Bank
Helps connect low-and moderate-income Ohioans with free tax preparation and access to potential public benefits and work supports.

Meals on Wheels (740-845-7325, 866-357-4677)
The Meals-on-Wheels program provides home-delivered meals for people over the age of 60 who are unable to prepare hot nutritious meals for themselves.

The Good Samaritan Food Pantry (1-614 - 879-8130) 36 Center Street, West Jefferson, OH
Open: Wednesdays 2 to 3 PM. 2nd and last Saturday of the month 10AM to11AM.  Families can receive food twice a month.
Requirements: Proof of residency for 43162 & 43119 zip codes.

Food Thru Faith (740-852-4735) 51 W. Center Street, London, OH
Open: Tuesdays and Thursdays 9 AM to 12 PM. Families can receive food once a month.
Requirements: Must have a London address/43140 zip code and verify last 4 numbers of social security card for every family member.

The Welcome Table 11 Center Street, London, OH
(An affiliate under the 501(c)3 umbrella of Ministry For Community)
Open: Thursday evenings from 5 to 7 PM. Serving a nutritious, free dine-in meal and wonderful fellowship.

Angel Food Ministries (740-852-3498) 224 Elm Street, London, OH
Joe and Linda Wingo founded Angel Food Ministries in 1994 to provide food for friends and neighbors who were struggling financially.

Madison County Food Pantry (740-852-5822 ext. 1) 137 Maple Street, London, OH
Open: Wednesdays & Saturdays 9AM to 12 PM.  Families can receive food once a month
Requirements: Picture ID & have a London, South Solon, or Sedalia address.

“New satellite location”: located in South Solon at the United Methodist Church of South Solon on the corner of North and High Streets.
Open: 1st Wednesday of the month from 5 to 7 PM and the 3rd Saturday of the month from 9 to 11:00 AM.
Requirements: Picture ID & have a South Solon, or Sedalia address.

H.E.L.P. House & Loving Kindness Kitchen and Food Pantry (740-852-1980) 122 East Center Street, London, OH
Open: Mondays 5 to 7 PM, Wednesdays 9 AM to 12 PM, & Saturdays 9 AM to 11 AM. Families can receive food once a week from the food pantry.
Requirements: No proof of residency.
Loving Kindness Kitchen (Soup Kitchen) at the same location is open weekly on Mondays from 5 to 7 PM.

Plain City Food Pantry (614-733-0909) 156 W. Main Street, Plain City, OH
Open: Saturdays 10 to 12PM
Requirements: Picture I.D. on first visit. Will accept residents from London, West Jefferson & Plain City.  Families can receive food once a month.

Jefferson Local Schools Reduce or Free Lunch Program (614-879-7681) 1 Roughrider Drive, West Jefferson, OH

Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) (800-282-0880)
With one Energy Assistance Application, you may apply for several federally or state-funded energy assistance programs administered by the Office of Community Services.

Unemployment Compensation (740-852-8801) 200 Midway Street, London, OH
We provide service to approximately 700,000 individuals filing for unemployment benefits.

Mount Sterling Community Center (740-869-2453) 164 East Main Street, Mount Sterling, OH
Open: Tuesdays 4 to 7 PM & Thursdays 9 AM to 1 PM. Families can receive food once month.
Requirements: Must have a Mt. Sterling address and/or have a 869 phone exchange & picture I.D.

Office of the Ohio Public Defender
The Office of the Ohio Public Defender is the state agency responsible for providing legal representation and other services for those accused of crime but who cannot afford to hire their own attorney.


Partnership for Prescription Assistance (PPARX)
The Partnership for Prescription Assistance brings together America’s pharmaceutical companies, doctors, other health care providers, patient advocacy organizations and community groups to help qualifying patients who lack prescription coverage get the medicines they need through the public or private program that’s right for them.
