An Introduction to Falconry
Welcome to the HBMLibrary Family Summer Reading Program! Friday, June 20th features an Introduction to Falconry performed by the Ohio School of Falconry! The show begins at the West Jefferson Community Center at 10:30 AM.Free pizza will be served at the Library after the program for children and teens. Learn about this most ancient of sports. As a result of participating in this event, you will learn…about the history of falconry, its origins and growth throughout the ages.about the important role that raptors (hawks, eagles, owls and falcons) play in their ecosystems and Falconry’s key role in raptor conservation efforts.the Five Skills of the Falconer (the basic skills that falconers use every day when trapping, training, and hunting, with their birds) - Ohio School of Falconry This program is made possible by a generous grant from Battelle in partnership with the Hurt/Battelle Memorial Library.
